Alison Ross MA, LMFT
Founder & Psychotherapist Specializing in Eating Disorders
Alison Ross created Lotus Path as a culmination of a dream that started over a decade ago, when she herself recovered from her struggle with eating and body image. With newfound healthy ways of living, coping, and thriving, Alison began a personal and professional mission to foster the growth and healing of others. Alison embraces psychotherapy as a core component of healing, and also values therapeutic experiences that occur outside of the therapy room. Her unique approach encourages clients to develop connections to supportive others, community, nature, movement, breath, art, and charity. Alison takes a systems approach involving family members and significant others in the change process whenever possible.
Alison is an disordered eating specialist with over ten years of education, training and experience. She earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She completed internships in private practice under Carolyn Costin, LMFT, at the Eating Disorder Center of California and at the Wright Institute Los Angeles/Susan B. Krevoy Eating Disorders Program. In 2007, Alison developed and launched the Susan B. Krevoy’s Adolescent Eating Disorder IOP. Alison has been an activist in the prevention of eating disorders. She developed an eating disorder prevention workshop that was offered at Beit T’Shuvah Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, at high schools through Los Angeles and at Curves for Women.
